UN CUENTO: Breve Salida del Sr. Loveday / Mr. Loveday´s Little Outing: SHORT STORY

Ahora, también les contamos un cuento... ¡qué lo tiró! ¡y ni un peso!
_____________________________________________________________

ENGLISH VERSION
Mr. Loveday´s Little Outing
It tells a story about a very well known and wealthy family. This family was composed by Lord Moping, Lady Moping and their little girl, Angela. Lord Moping was sent to a ‘County Home for Mental Defectives’ (also called a hospital for lunatic people) after trying to commit suicide in their orangery and, accidentally, in front of some noble neighbors of them (some stupid nobs).
Only years later, Lady Moping took their little girl, Angela, to see her father for the very first time since that episode –with reluctance and reticence, Lady M. had always visited him like that. When they got in there, Angela didn’t give too much value to her father state, who showed himself to be extremely worried about writing a letter to the Pope (yeah: THE Pope, it was really serious or completely insane).
On the other hand, a very kind person was looking after Lord Moping, he seemed a very nice male nurse. The Director told them that he was an inmate too, but this case was an odd one, because he helped a lot inside the institution. This man, Mr. Loveday had been acting as if he were his assistant or similar, but only because of his kindness, his gentleness –a great old man. He had been in that hospital since an accident in which a young woman unknown to him, who was riding her bike, was knocked off her bicycle and throttle by him.
Angela couldn´t stand this lovely man, so stable, being hospitalized there, he was too good— he was too warm. Then she asked him if he wouldn’t like to be free in the outside world and he answer her that he only needed to do something else. So, she studied the laws about psychiatric and, surprisingly, make him be liberalized by the Director.
Eventually, Mr Loveday received a party from the people in the hospital. Everybody was between happiness and weeping because of his departure. He finally came out and began to walk away from the lunatics’ building, he was so fuc* free. Two hours later from his liberation he was back in the hospital. People didn’t understand such an event.
Half a mile up the road from hospital a girl and her bicycle, were found thrown into the ditch. Somebody had put his hands over her little throat and had killed her. The little girl was there accidentally, the wrong moment, the wrong place. Mr. Loveday was a very kind man…

¿Auto rojo? ¿Auto lavado? ¡Auto robado! / Red Car? Washed Car? Stolen Car!

__________________________________________________

VERSIÓN en ESPAÑOL
¿AUTO ROJO? ¿AUTO LAVADO? ¡AUTO ROBADO!

ENGLISH VERSION
RED CAR? WASHED CAR? STOLEN CAR!

There are serious investigations which show that it is a higher probability to have your car stolen whether it is more appealing than the mean car.
How does it work?
Well, we couldn’t even say such a thing but it has been checked that the more attractive or bright your vehicle is, the more thieves are going to gaze at it, and not exactly for making you a monetary offer.
What can we do about all this?
Keep your car dirty, paint it grey, do not use attractive spare tires, do not buy amazing stereos and you will be an average person with an average car or maybe, if you are lucky, even less than that. Therefore, your probabilities of being stolen will not only to be kept down, but to fall down as the global market did during the crisis in 2008.
Have not we made you feel comfortable yet?
Try keeping your car in a garage with 24hs security (good, not cheap), make it got an alarm system installed and buy a very expensive insurance policy and then you won’t have ´stealing problems´ but financial ones.
Can’t face costs?
If you were within this group of people, then we would give you 2 advises:
-          A) You don’t exist for the system. Don’t cry, because it doesn’t matter to anybody!
-          B) Buy a bicycle, run; it is very healthy accordingly to what doctors usually say. But remember, you are still in Buenos Aires, do not buy a RED bicycle, dude!!!

Campo o Ciudad / Countryside or City

Versión en Español
Campo o Ciudad

English Version
Countryside or City
Are we actually "designed" to live in cities? Could we turn around this “urban trend”?
This paradox has been considered in several discussions and arguments. What is “having a good life” for you? There are many citizens whose speech supports the “countryside fresh air” and the idea of “living without much stress” but they would really never make the decision of leaving their urban settlements.
Rural inhabitants seem to be relaxed, but they also seem a bit bored. Technology and opportunities have been taking country folks to cities because of different reasons, such as food, education, health (medical care systems), security, culture and trade (among many others).
There is concern about the distribution of population, which shows that almost 50% of the whole world population is living in big cities nowadays. By 2050, this percentage is expected to increase by 75%. Do you imagine how Chinese people will be living in Beijing by that time? If you chucked a coin from a 10th floor you would probably kill at least three or four Chinese people.
What do you think about urban/countryside life styles? Should it be better to have a more distributed population? How would you feel about leaving off your crazy citizen life rhythm and (on the other hand) its comfortable “diversity of everything” to move to the countryside?
In many cases, gadgets, IT connections and a lot of other improvements which were developed to make our existences easier and more enjoyable lead us to the opposite side.
To find out the balance between these styles will be up to each of us!

La Vida: ¿Una Lucha Contra la Entropía? / Life: Fight Against Entropy?

English Version
We were just walking on the street, dealing with brain processes such as creating and reflecting about what entertainment we were going to publish for you. Suddenly, an idea came to our mind (luckily!) and made us see the great picture: do not be a fool (we thought), make them go further, don´t work on it by yourself, you may invite people to debate this, so as to arrive to greater conclusions.
This time, we will be giving you a premise that is likely to make you think about life and its causes. We think that life is about fighting against the increase of entropy (or at least dealing with it). It is unlikely to believe that you will be able to analyze the words given above without the meaning of Entropy. We are going to let you post comments with your opinions (based on the definition written at the bottom) and we will be working on this idea during the next weeks. It is bound to generate a lot of discussion. At least, it is our hope!
Please, if you were about to post a comment it would be terrific to know you by a nickname or something like that!
Entropy for the Cambridge Dictionary is:
Entropy noun en.trə.pi /n (U) specialized
The amount of order or lack of order in a system

What do you think? Do you believe that life is about not allowing Entropy to rise?

¡¡¡ESPERAMOS SU PARTICIPACION
MUCHAS GRACIAS

THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH US

TANTE GRAZIE

When people ask us: Why do you write this SOS? Do you receive money or something for doing it?
Our answer is: No, we don´t. We are just fighting against entropy. You should also try to do that!
